Ever wonder how the governmental entities within the boundaries of Bolingbrook are funded?

The most commonly known source of funding are property taxes. The detail is listed right on the tax bill.

But property taxes are not the only source of income for our local governmental bodies. Taxes (other than property), user-fees, charges and food/liquor sales help to fund our local government to the tune of hundreds of millions every year.

Hard earned cash flowing out of our pockets and into the local government.

As detailed, it takes much more than property taxes to keep our government up and running. The Village of Bolingbrook's luxury golf course and Clow International Airport; DuPage Township's Levy banquet center; Bolingbrook Park district's recreation program and Ashbury golf course all rely on public participation to keep the doors open.

How much are you contributing to the Village (exclude property taxes)?
